【摘要】:Thebasemapandoverlaysareusedinmanagingasearchbygraphicallytrackingprogress,resourceallocation,andresults.Standardsymbolsandmarkingsallowapersontovisuallyscanthemaptoobtainthestatusofthesearchwithouttheneedforabriefingorreadingsearchdocuments.Overlaysareusedforsymbolswhicharelikelytochangeduringthesearch,thatwillcoverothersymbolsorbasemapfeatures,topreventmarkingthebasemap,andtoavoidtoomanymarkingsatonetime.ThesymbolsandcolorshavebeenchosentobecompatiblewiththesymbolsdefinedinIncidentCommandSystemFieldOperationsGuideICS-420.Thiscompatibilityiseitherexact(forexample,incidentcommandpost)orfunctional(forexample,searchareaboundaries).1.1Thispracticecoversthesymbolsandmarkingstobeusedwithlandsearchmapstoshowresources,searchcoverage,status,andresults.1.2Operationalusageofthesesymbolsandmarkings,theresourcestheyrepresent,andmapsarenotincludedinthispractice.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
