Scope: This specification covers the design and performance requirements, and test procedures for separable, B-nut type fittings which employ an anti-loosening mechanism in place of safe tying with lockwire. The specification applies to Flared, Flareless and Beam Seal type fittings used in aerospace fluid systems. The design requirements are for operating pressures up to 5080 PSI in corrosion resistant steel (CRES), titanium alloy (TI) and Nickel alloy (Inconel) materials.
