【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystemcoverspolybutyleneplasticsmaterialssuitableformoldingandextrusion.1.2Thisclassificationsystemallowsfortheuseofthosepolybutyleneplasticmaterialsthatcanberecycled,reconstituted,andreground,providedthefollowingconditionsaremet:1.2.1Therequirementsasstatedinthisclassificationsystemandotherguidelinepertainingtothesematerialsaremet,and1.2.2Thematerialhasnotbeenmodifiedinanywaytoalteritsconformancetowatercontactregulationsorothersimilarrequirements.1.3Theproportionsofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialused,aswellasthenatureandtheamountofanycontaminant,cannotbepracticallycoveredinthisclassificationsystem.Itistheresponsibilityofthesupplierandbuyerofrecycled,reconstituted,andregrindmaterialstoensurecompliance.1.4Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtocharacterizeandclassifythespecificproduct.Otherpropertiesmaybenecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.ThesemaybespecifiedbyusingsuffixesasgiveninSection5.Propertiesshallbeselectedinsuchamannerthatconsistencyofdifferentlotsorshipmentsisassured.Thetestsinvolvedinthisclassificationsystemareintendedtoprovideinformationforidentifyingmaterialsinaccordancewithtypesandcategories.Itisnotthefunctionofthisclassificationsystemtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.1.5Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecallout(specification)areintendedtoprovideameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisstandard.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;ISO8986Parts1and2resemblethisstandardintitle,buttheircontentissignificantlydifferent.1.7Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
